Sharing Reports with Clients

A Testzilla report is a clean, readable summary of a channel’s or project’s health — exactly the kind of thing an agency or consultant wants to put in front of a client. This guide covers the built-in ways to get a report out of the app and into a client’s hands.

Open a channel or project and click Report. Testzilla analyses the latest result for each active test and renders a page with a summary, the records analysed, the issues found, and proposed fixes. The report page’s action row (top right) has the sharing controls:

  • Print — open the browser print dialog on a clean, chrome-free layout.
  • Email — email the current report.
  • Share / copy link — copy the report’s in-app link to your clipboard (for people who can sign in).
  • Share with client — mint an external, no-login link a client can open without a Testzilla account.

The most portable option, and the one that needs nothing from the client:

  1. On the report page, click Print. The page switches to a print-only layout with the navigation and buttons removed.

  2. In the browser print dialog, choose Save as PDF as the destination.

  3. Send the client the PDF.

This is the right choice when the client does not have a Testzilla account and you just want to hand them a document.

Option 2: Email the report to a client on every run

Section titled “Option 2: Email the report to a client on every run”

If you want the client to get an updated report automatically, attach it to a scheduled run:

  1. On the project or channel, open the Scheduled section and create (or edit) a schedule.

  2. Turn on email report and add the client’s email address to the recipients.

  3. Save. Every time that schedule runs, Testzilla generates the report and emails it to the recipients — summary, issues, root causes, proposed fixes, and a per-test quality breakdown.

Section titled “Option 3: Copy the in-app link (for people with access)”

Share / copy link copies the report’s in-app URL. Anyone you send it to will need to sign in and have access to that workspace, so this is for teammates and collaborators inside Testzilla, not for external clients without an account.

Option 4: Share with client (external, no login)

Section titled “Option 4: Share with client (external, no login)”

For a client who does not have a Testzilla account, use Share with client on the report action row. It mints an external client-portal link — an address of the form .../portal?token=... — that opens a read-only view without any sign-in.

  1. On the report page, click Share with client. The first time, Testzilla mints a share link for that channel or project.

  2. Copy the link and send it to your client. They open it in any browser — no account, no login.

  3. The link expires after 7 days by default and can be revoked at any time from the same dialog, so you stay in control of access.
